This winter, Windsor Great Park Illuminated returns from 13 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, transforming the woodland of Windsor Great Park into an enchanting world where light brings stories to life.
Featuring an all-new trail design for 2026, visitors can explore a magical journey filled with spectacular light installations, immersive displays, breathtaking projections and unforgettable moments beneath the stars.
Set against the natural beauty of Windsor Great Park, the trail offers a unique festive experience for friends, families and groups looking to embrace the magic of the season. Along the route, guests will discover brand-new installations alongside reimagined favourites, creating an evening full of wonder, imagination and festive spirit.
Following the successful introduction of the initiative last year, Windsor Great Park Illuminated’s dedicated Low Sensory Evening returns on Tuesday 24 November 2026.
The Low Sensory Evening has been carefully designed for visitors who may find traditional festive attractions overwhelming.
During this dedicated session, additional pathway lighting will be introduced to help reduce the impact of the installations, sound levels will be lowered, and visitor numbers will be limited to create a calmer and more comfortable environment. These adjustments allow guests to experience the trail at their own pace while still enjoying the magic and atmosphere that make Windsor Great Park Illuminated so special.
The event remains fully dog-friendly, ensuring that four-legged family members can join in the festivities too. Throughout the trail, visitors can pause to enjoy seasonal food and drink, warm up with hot chocolate or mulled wine, and toast marshmallows around the fire pits at one of the cosy rest stops.
