Europe’s largest trade, professional and public event on disability will be rescheduled due to concern around the coronavirus.
The annual conference and exhibition was due to take place on 17 and 18 March 2020, but due to fears around the coronavirus and public safety, Naidex will be rescheduled to take place at a later date.
A statement on the Naidex website explains: “Like many large event organisers, the health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff is always our number one priority. This is particularly pertinent in the care and health sector communities that Naidex brings together.
“While this is not a decision that has been taken lightly, we feel that it is the right one – not just for the care and health sector but for the wider community as a whole.”
Naidex will be rescheduled along with all events co-located with the exhibition. This includes: Smart Home for Assisted Living; Dementia, Cate and Nursing Home Expo; Home Care Expo; Care Tech Live; European Neuro Convention; Medical Imaging Convention; European Oncology Convention; AI&ML Convention.
A new date for Naidex 46 is yet to be announced.
