It might officially be spring but with the weather showing no signs of relenting with the Beast from the East, we’re not banking on sun anytime soon. So, we’ve rounded up what cinemas are showing for their autism-friendly screenings over March. Enjoy!
Cineworld
Cineworld host their monthly autism-friendly screening on the first Sunday of every month at 11am. Their February film is Marvel’s latest blockbuster Black Panther (12A). Cineworld will be screening Black Panther on Sunday 4 February at 11am. Check their website for participating cinemas.
Showcase
Showcase host their autism-friendly screening on the second Sunday of every month at 10am. They will be showing the spectacular The Greatest Showman on Sunday 11 February at 10am. Check their website for details.
ODEON
At a select number of cinemas, ODEON will be trialling autism-friendly showings for an older audience. The March film will be Tomb Raider on 19 March at 6pm. Check their website for participating cinemas.
ODEON will also be having their regular autism-friendly screening suitable for all ages. March’s film is Peter Rabbit on Sunday 18 February at 10.15am (except Epsom ODEON which starts at 11am). Birmingham Broadway Plaza will not be showing their autism-friendly screening this month.
Vue
Vue host their autism-friendly screening on the last Sunday of every month at 10.15am. Their film is still TBC and will show on Sunday 25 March at 10.15am. Ticket prices start from £1.99 and be sure to check their website later in the month to find out what film will be showing.
Autism-friendly screenings at Cineworld, Showcase, ODEON, and Vue run throughout the UK. To check if your local cinema is participating, contact the cinema or check Dimensions website. Also visit Dimensions for further details about autism-friendly screenings.
