Head2Head Sensory Theatre, a specialist theatre charity for disabled people and their families, is set to present two new online shows, sure to keep everyone entertained over Easter.
Working alongside young people with a wide range of disabilities, Head2Head Sensory Theatre’s projects encourage participants to take risks by working in small groups of peers and with neurotypical siblings to increases confidence and widen social interaction and skills.
A unique element of all their work is the ability to provide entertainment irrespective of age and/or stage of development, with puppetry, rhyme, rhythm, repetition, and songs, enabling participants to access it in a fully inclusive way.
And this Easter is set to see two exciting new productions land at Head2Head Sensory Theatre.
Stevie Solvesit and the Case of the Spooky Swamp and Blackbeard’s Revenge are sure to get everyone in the family excited and entertained.
Stevie Solvesit and the Case of the Spooky Swamp
Dates: 27th and 28th March 2021
Times: 10.00am, 12.00pm and 2.00pm
Suitable for seven-years-old and over, Stevie Solvesit and the Case of the Spooky Swamp follows Stevie (the most successful private detective in Britain) during another wild adventure.
But, this time, Stevie needs your help! Join Stevie and their sidekick Bertie Bravesit – played by a young actor with SEND who is a member of the Head2Head Work Experience Programme – and help solve the case of the spooky swamp.
With help from Merlin’s magic, cast powerful spells to contact King Arthur, sing along with the solving song and learn Makaton signs, too.
Everything you need to prepare will be included in your top-secret casefile which will be sent to you when you book the show.
This will be a live, multi-sensory and interactive Zoom show that will last roughly 30 minutes, with an opportunity for families to stay for snacks and chats afterwards.

Blackbeard’s Revenge

Join Freddie and his best mate Frankie – who is also played by a SEND actor part of the Head2Head Work Experience Programme – on a multi-sensory and interactive pirating adventure, Blackbeard’s Revenge!
Along the way you will discover Blackbeard’s long-lost ship, design your own pirate flag and raise it high, sing a pirate song and find a glittering treasure trove.
But it’s not all fun on the high seas.
When Blackbeard finds out what you’ve done, he takes his revenge and you become trapped. How are you going to escape? Well, you’ll have to join Freddie and Frankie on their adventure to find out!
The Zoom shows are accompanied by an advance pack to help prepare for your pirating adventure.
