Disability Expo is an attendee focused two-day event, putting the ‘I’ in disability. Timed for the beginning of Disability Pride Month, it will be Europe’s largest event for disabled people, by disabled people.

Hundreds of exhibitors will showcase the latest innovations in independent living and mobility aids, technologies, services and advice from a variety of charities and organisations.

There will also be a full event programme comprising of inclusive activities, performances and presentations from engaging, relatable people sharing their experiences, skills and expertise.

What’s on at Disability Expo

The People’s Panel will be a forum-style theatre where pressing issues and key topics will be discussed by influential and knowledgeable panellists. So far, these include Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, Shani Dhanda, Mik Scarlet, Jordan Jarrett-Bryan and many more.

All delegates should feel centre stage at Disability Expo. Our main stage will deliver entertaining and inclusive content from a variety of acts, including Britain’s Got Talent finalist Eva Abley and a live podcast from The Grumpy Gits, the world’s most listened to disability podcast. Working with a number of fashion brands, designers and agencies, the event will also bring you an Inclusive Fashion Show in which everyone feels represented.

The Have-A-Go zone in partnership with the charity Phab offers inclusive sports and activities for people of all abilities to enjoy together. Phab’s Co-CEO’s Mik Scarlet and Dawn Vickers said: “Phab are proud to announce our partnership with Disability Expo on the Have A Go Zone, where everyone can try an activity. Our joint ethos of inclusion and equality while having fun will be embodied at the Have A Go Zone, where the sky’s the limit…come along and try something amazing!”

Sponsored by Amazon, in the EmployAble zone you can discover the latest products and software that can assist you in your work, connect with DEI leads from inclusive companies and attend talks on flexible working, selling your skills, building your career and more.

Powered by Adapt-IT, the Gaming Zone allows delegates to trial the latest assistive gaming technology, with multiple gaming areas to support differing levels and types of disability. Enter competitions, watch Twitch streamers and test your skills against the best retro games or modern titles.

Disability Expo will enhance access to care in the community through a dedicated Community Clinic and Charity Zone. Delegates can get an appointment with a health professional free of charge, receive advice and start or speed up the process of care services.

In partnership with Medequip, the accessible home will feature off-the-shelf products and specialist equipment for you to try out in a realistic home environment. The Manage At Home area will showcase examples of creative and accessible design tailored to the unique needs of those who live there, with live demonstrations throughout the day.

With such a jam-packed day, the Zensory zone will offer a tranquil, accessible quiet sensory space for all ages and abilities. There will also be scheduled activities to support mindfulness and relaxation.
