Celebrating their 41st Wedding Anniversary…

John and Marion

John and Marion have stayed at the New Mayfair regularly over the past 3 years.

They enjoy the homely atmosphere, the friendliness of all the staff and the variety of food and evening entertainment the hotel offers.

In October when they last stayed, John and Marion celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary with us.

Congratulations to them both from all Management and Staff.

They have already booked to come and stay with us next year but are also excited to try our sister hotel The Esplanade in Llandudno.

Coronation Street star “Paula Lane” visits The New Mayfair Hotel

Coronation Street star Paula Lane

Katie and her Mum are some of our regular guests that come to stay with us 3 or 4 times a year. Katie enjoys the fact that care is provided for all her needs and that she can “enjoy her life like a normal 27 year old and forget her disabilities for a short while”. She finds the “hotel is home from home” and is happy that her Mum gets a break from doing her care whist staying here. They both enjoy the food and entertainment.

She has made many new friends here at The New Mayfair especially amongst our staff.

On her latest stay with us, Katie met Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) from Coronation Street and enjoyed having her photo taken with the star. The following day she went to Weatherfield and wondered the cobbles of Coronation Street visiting The Rovers Return and Roys Rolls with our Care Co-ordinator Nicola.

Westbourne have been staying with us here at The New Mayfair since it opened in 2011. They come twice a year once in the summer for a midweek break and again in the winter for a turkey tinsel weekend break. They enjoy the comfort of travelling to and from the hotel using our new accessible minibuses.

We asked the guests what they liked about the hotel – here are a few of their comments:

John – “Oh its lovely”
Elaine – “ I feel safe here and like the staff”
Gary – “Good entertainment”
Catherine – “The glamour”

When asked they all said that they wished that they could stay longer. Plans are already being made to return again next year.
