The Farmhouse – sleeps 12 in 6 ensuite bedrooms, 2 of which are ground floor twin rooms each with an with en-suite wet-room.

Hidelow Lodge and Katherine’s Cottage have been sympathetically converted from stone and half-timbered barns, retaining many original features and specifically designed to facilitate ease of use by wheelchair users. The Farmhouse is designed for larger groups or family with one or more disabled members and space for up to 20 people sitting around a single dining table or in the lounge.

All cottages have Roll-in Wet-rooms, whilst Katherine’s Cottage also has some lowered kitchen work surfaces, cooker hob, oven and kneehole sink. Lowered windowsills and plate glass doors enable wheelchair users to enjoy the beautiful views even if they cannot get outside into the gardens. Each cottage has easy vehicular access and parking with hard-standing outside the door.

Shower chairs and many other aids to living are free; profiling beds, hoists etc can be hired. Qualified Carers to assist with bathing, dressing or just to give your own Carer a break can be arranged and Stuart & Pauline live on-site and are always on hand with friendly help and advice.

Each cottage has its own private garden and sunny patio with open views of the surrounding countryside. Communal landscaped gardens are accessible in fair weather.

The whole site is wheelchair accessible with solid pathways connecting all facilities. The licensed Shop and visitors’ Information Room is conveniently placed near the cottages for purchasing emergency supplies or presents to take home. There is always a selection of basic local produce including eggs, milk, butter, honey, locally produced ice cream, steamed puddings, wines, beers, ciders, tea and coffee and Pauline’s jams, marmalade, chutneys and freezer meals.

You can buy these in advance of your holiday if you wish; they are a popular option with many guests for the evening of arrival, or a very useful stand-by if you just don’t feel like cooking after a day out. All are made from locally sourced ingredients, freshly prepared and frozen.
