Daily Star supports young disabled drivers

PrintThe Daily Star is announced as official media partner of Get Going Live! 2013, the one-day driving event to help young disabled and newly disabled people to start driving and plan for their first adapted car.

A free event organised by national charities Disabled Motoring UK and Mobility Choice, the organisation behind the Mobility Roadshow, it takes place on Saturday 13 July at Donington Park Launch Pad, Derbyshire.

In its third year Get Going Live! offers a first opportunity to test drive a selection of adapted vehicles, including drive-from-wheelchair WAVs, on a safe road system, accompanied by experience professional drivers.

“We are delighted to attract this support from the Daily Star, and applaud its commitment  to support the independence of young people with disabilities, as well as others newly disabled and anxious to get back into the driving seat,” said Jacqui Jones, Chief Executive of Mobility Choice.

“It is gratifying that the Daily Star team recognises the help that this event provides, not only the advice to young novice drivers starting out on the road to gaining a driving licence, but also the reassurance families gain from experts with specialist knowledge.”
