Five newly converted luxury ground-floor self-catering cottages (sleeping 6-8 people) can be booked individually or as a group (up to 34 people excluding infant cots) with stunning views from their individual enclosed gardens. They offer excellent accessibility (M1, M2, M3, H1 and V1) and both children and pets are welcome.
Located in the South Downs National Park within easy reach of London, Winchester, Petersfield, Chichester, Southampton and Portsmouth, there are lots of accessible attractions within easy distance of the cottages. There is something for everyone from historic houses, gardens and towns, to theme parks, museums, seasonal events and fabulous festivals, glorious countryside and close proximity to the coast.
The cottages are completed to an outstanding standard, with quality fixture and fittings throughout including oak flooring, wood burners, free WiFi and underfloor heating fuelled by a woodchip boiler and a hot tub on each patio.
Each cottage comprises an open plan sitting/dining room (with an extending oak table capable of seating 12) and a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Bedrooms are twin or super king all with TVs and en-suite shower rooms and one bathroom.
Two of the cottages have wet rooms and a hand basin that can be lowered for wheelchair use as well as a removable under-sink section to enable wheelchair use of the kitchen sink. Grab rails, bed and toilet raisers, zimmer frames, showering wheelchair, foot stool and commode available. Wallops Wood Cottages have been designed with accessibility concerns in mind but suggestions of other adaptations and equipment are always welcomed.
A welcome hamper of locally sourced produce will be in the cottage on your arrival and we can recommend excellent places to eat out nearby from Gastro pubs in the surrounding villages to award winning restaurants. We can provide home-made meals for the fridge, order a breakfast or BBQ package from our award winning local suppliers or some sparkling wine from Hambledon Vineyards just two miles from the cottages. You could even book a personal chef and newspapers can be delivered.
The cottages provide a great year-round base for sightseeing, celebrating with friends and family, going to Grange Park Opera, Chichester Festival, Winchester Christmas Market or Goodwood. There are so many wonderful events within reach of the cottages you could be busy every day. Or, of course, you could just enjoy relaxing in your cottage and its garden.
