The North to see the Largest Disability Expo Hosted from Manchester Central 2014

iic showThe IIC Show (Inclusion, Independence, Choice) is set to be the largest disability healthcare show to take place in the North of England.

The super-size exhibition will take place at Manchester Central from 14 to 15 February 2014 (formerly the G-MEX). Organisers hope that it will attract healthcare professionals, education professionals, trade specialists, the general public and the 1.8 million disabled people across the North West, along with anybody with an interest in mixed abilities/disabilities. The event which is organised by UKFE, is FREE to attend and even offers complimentary transportation for large groups of people. With the closest event of this nature taking place in the Midlands, UKFE are filling a much needed gap in the market.

UKFE is also proud to announce the show partners for the IIC Show. Given as this is the first show of the profile of what is set to be an annual show, the support received from partners has been outstanding and includes; HCPC, COT, ACPIN, Neuro Support, ETAC R82 UK, The Walton Centre, SEN Magazine, Enable Magazine, Access Magazine, Manchester City Council, NHS North West, Carers Trust and Care Talk, to name a few.

The exhibition, which is set over 10,000 square metres, will host professional one to one sessions and workshops as well as 5 FREE world class CPD accredited seminar stages showcasing leading speakers to help build knowledge and provide credible information to healthcare and industry professionals. For the public there is also a main stage covering salient and meaningful subjects.

The SEN Seminar theatre will be a must-attend for education professionals, with Ofsted delivering an hour-long session for attendees on Outstanding SEN – Outstanding Ofsted. ETAC R82 UK will host a day of invaluable sessions at the ETAC Moving and Handling Theatre. The Keynote Theatre aimed at industry professionals will focus on future policies and strategies. Carers Trust will host the Care Support Theatre with a day of credible support, advice and development for carers whether that be a professional, friend or family member.

There are a number of innovative show features including an Inclusive Family Activity Area which is £5 to access with 100% of the profit going to the IIC Show Charity Partner, Make a Wish Foundation. The Adapted Sports Zone will have an exciting array of activities in which visitors can participate and view demonstrations of adaptive sports. Visitors will also have the option of browsing through the Mobility Car Showroom at IIC Show with brands such as Ford, Lewis Reed, TBC Conversions and Gowring’s Mobility showcasing. There will also be up to 250 exhibitors at the show as well as a BHTA Pavilion, all providing a wide range of services and resources for all attendees. All in all, the IIC Show is jam packed with high quality content and exceptional variety, positioning the show to be an outstanding and a worthwhile experience for visitors and those participating in the show.
