Ottobock experts from around the world bring a programme of education to Naidex
A series of free seminars entitled ‘How to get it right’ will be offered to Naidex visitors by mobility specialists Ottobock from 29th April – 1st May 2014. The education sessions are aimed at therapists and dealers and will cover topics such Neuro Power chairs, ‘tilt in space’ positioning, rigid manual chairs and pressure care.
Guest presenters from around the world will offer advice and guidance on what to consider when choosing a wheelchair, fundamental requirements for mobility products and tips for wheelchair users including ‘what to ask as a seated person’.
The seminars are intended to offer therapists, dealers and guests to Naidex the chance to learn more about the products, features and new technologies emerging in the mobility market.
The seminars include:
- MND Association: Neuro Power wheelchair functions and requirements, what and how to choose. Jenny Rolfe, Lead Clinician with the MNDA (UK)
- The benefits of tilt in space and Recline in a power chair. When to use tilt and recline and how much is needed? Joanne McConnell, occupational Therapist, Ottobock (UK)
- Rigid manual wheelchair specifications? What are the fundamental requirements of a rigid manual Wheelchair? Sabine Beiderman, Physiotherapist, Ottobock (Germany)
- New foam technologies in seating. Rest suspension foam is new! What are the main questions I need to ask as a seated person? Kim Chaney, Technical Product Manager, Ottobock (USA/Gemany)
