New range of innovative liners, feet and knees launched in the UK

World-leading prosthetic manufacturer, Ottobock, has today (1st April) unveiled its latest products to the UK market. New silicone liners, a low-profile carbon foot and an innovative knee for low mobility patients have been added to Ottobock’s growing prosthetic portfolio. Offering state-of-the-art engineering and quality manufacturing, the new products offer a range of new solutions for NHS patients.

1C10 Terion Foot

Ottobock has launched a new low-profile carbon foot for medium activity users (Mobis 2/3). The 1C10 Terion is lightweight, durable and is ideal for those looking to take part in everyday activities. The Terion foot provides stability on uneven surfaces thanks to its split forefoot and offers users energy return due to its innovative carbon fibre design. A cushioned heel allows a comfortable heel strike and the foam base guarantees smooth rollover and some flexibility.

3R62 Pheon Prosthetic Knee

The 3R62 Pheon knee joint is a new mechanical knee enabling low-mobility patients the chance to benefit from biomechanical stance phase flexion. The Pheon’s stance flexion feature helps increase stability and leads to stress reduction – reducing the forces on the residual limb. This feature also means more comfort and safety for the user, even on uneven ground and in high-risk situations, reducing the risk of falls and stumbles.

Skeo Silicone Liners

Also joining the Ottobock product portfolio is the 6Y77 Skeo 3D TT, 6Y87 Skeo 3D TF and 6Y43 Skeo Pure silicone liners. The Skeo 3D TT & TF liners were developed to complement human anatomy. The new unique shape is sculpted to ensure best fit and the silicone varies in thickness to ensure flexibility and comfort where it’s needed most. A unique textile cover allows for easy donning and doffing and the inner surface is gentle on even the most sensitive skin. The Skeo Pure (TT & TF) offers an integrated stabilising matrix to minimise pistoning. The silicone is easy to clean and quick to dry and is ideal for use with waterproof prostheses. Gentle on the skin, easy to don and doff and designed for comfort the new Skeo range is ideal for any liner users.
