We can’t quite believe it, but somehow the most wonderful time of the year is upon us once again.
We’ve had a fantastic 12 months at Enable, filled with incredible interviews, life-changing news headlines, new websites, award nominations and attention-grabbing campaigns, in a year when disability really came to the forefront of people’s minds. And we’d like to thank you for being a part of it – the magazine would be nothing without your views, your stories and your take on life.
There’s been a lot of progress made in 2012 for disabled people and carers across the country – thanks to hard-working campaigners and our talented Paralympians, people have started to sit up and take notice of the issues which disabled people face. But there is still work to do. Which is why we’ll be making sure that 2013 is another cracker for Enable – to keep raising awareness, to keep challenging perceptions and to make sure that you’re informed on all the issues affecting you.
We’re finishing up for a well-earned break today, but we’ll be back in the office on 3 January, refreshed and ready to face the New Year. Until then, make the most of the festive season – eat, drink and be merry!
Have a very merry Christmas and here’s to a happy, healthy 2013. See you in the new year!
