Wetroom experts Impey Showers are once again exhibiting at Naidex, and this year the company is bringing Britain’s Strongest Disabled Man, Gary Clarke. It is Gary’s extraordinary will power and determination that is christening Impey’s involvement in Naidex National 2014 ‘The Show of Strength’.

Gary will be showcasing his talent on Tuesday 29th April at midday, Impey Showers stand B140.

Naidex National is the largest UK exhibition that showcases products and services that enable people to live more independently. Impey Showers pioneered the level access shower which is used in health and care settings.

Ahead of the World’s Strongest Disabled Man competition, which is being held in June, Britain’s Strongest Disabled Man, Gary Clarke, who is sponsored by Impey Showers, will be demonstrating his strongman capabilities by performing two of his key strength exercises, the atlas ball and crucifix hold.

Gary, who has cerebal palsy and walks with the aid of crutches, has participated in the World’s Strongest Disabled Man competition for the past three years, representing Great Britain. After smashing numerous personal bests in 2012 and 2013, Gary is officially Britain’s Strongest Disabled man and is aiming to become the World’s Strongest Disabled Man.

Gary, who is a carer for other disabled people, was first inspired by strength sports after watching a similar event at Naidex a few years ago.

36-year-old Gary, who experiences difficulties with balance due to his condition, has a vision which is to encourage other disabled people to get interested in strength sports, and for Great Britain to have increased representation in international strength based competitions.
