Helping you with the transition to adult social care

Dimensions is hosting an event to help explain the process of moving from child to adult social care.

Explaining the essentials

On 24 June the charity, which supports people with learning disabilities and autism, will be unpacking everything you need to know about the transition to adult social care.

Their virtual event will include a panel of family experts and top tips from people with learning disabilities and their families, who have been through the transition themselves.

You can join the zoom call from 11am-12.30pm, where advice will also be given on housing options arranging your loved one’s finances and the law around adult social care.

Making transitions smoother

The event will be especially useful for children leaving specialist education in the Summer of 2023 or 2024.

The process of moving to adult social care can be confusing and difficult for families and their loved ones. Dimensions are aiming to make that transition as smooth as possible. The charity is also inviting transitions teams and schools to join the event.
