SportsAble is a leading disability multisports club based in Berkshire but open to people from all over. We offer a lifeline to isolated disabled people who join for the opportunity to socialise regularly and to enjoy sport for fun. However, we also promote, encourage and support serious athletes along their journey towards their goals of regional, national and international representation. To date our members have represented Team GB in ten Paralympic Games a total of 46 times.
Since 1975 SportsAble has gained national recognition for the quality of facilities, variety of sports and coaching and support that we offer. Our award winning club offers over 12 different sports and activities – from Archery to Zumba! – and we are open 52 weeks of the year.
Membership is heavily subsidised at just £40 a year per disabled person – and that entitles each and every person to take part in as many sessions as they wish. There’s no limit! Do a different sport each day for fun and fitness or focus on one sport and perfect your skills for competition. Family members and friends can also join and take part alongside you.

“Being disabled has brought with it many challenges but I have found participating in sporting activities has helped me feel a sense of achievement. This year, I have become a member of SportsAble – a fantastic charity which enables disabled people the chance to access a huge range of sports. I have had a go at Wheelchair Basketball and Kayaking. The team there are supportive and encouraging. I have met people who are really inspiring and hugely competitive which has made each activity feel like a real workout! They are a great charity and I was honoured to be asked to participate in the inaugural half Tribal Series’ ParaTri at Dorney Lake in 2015.
“I highly recommend joining this charity as they really reach out and help people who have become disabled due to accidents or illness alongside those who have been born with a disability.”
Come and have your life changed by sport.
New members, supporters, friends and volunteers always welcome.
