This year sees the arrival of the popular Kidz event in Scotland, as the exhibition makes its way to the Royal Highland Exhibition Centre near Edinburgh.
Kidz is one of the largest FREE exhibitions dedicated to children and young adults with disabilities and special needs, their families and the professionals that work with them. Next week, on 11 September, the first ever Kidz Scotland event will be kicking off at the Royal Highland Exhibition Centre in Edinburgh.
The Kidz exhibitions area great opportunities for children, young people, family members and carers to meet and find out more about organisations and services which could make a difference to their lives. With over 120 exhibitors lined up, there will be plenty of opportunities to find out about a range of different products and services. Exhibitors will be involved in areas such as funding, mobility, communication, education, toys, transport and more. Big names such as Fish Insurance, RNIB Scotland, Otto Bock and the Open University will all be in attendance as well as smaller charities and organisations offering fantastic services and support for families.
Alongside the exhibition there will be a busy seminar programme with professionals speaking on a range of different topics. Subject areas include: moving and handling, sleep issues, continence issues, direct payments, parental experiences, transition, legal advice and more.
