There is still time to enter photographs of Sport in Motion, this year’s theme of On the Move, the national competition for disabled photographers organised by charities Mobility Choice and the Disabled Photographers’ Society. Entries close on 31st October 2012.
In its second year the competition celebrates the UK’s Olympic and Paralympic games triumph, but your pictures can represent any sporting activity or event, such as motorsport or others not included in the Olympic categories. All are eligible including local amateur sports, your favourite football team, bowling, children cycling, or playing ball in the park.
There are three age categories – under 12 years, 12-18 and over 18.
Prizes for the winners include a Merlin Annual Pass for a disabled person and carer, offering entry to a range of top UK attractions such as the London Eye, LEGOLAND Windsor and Madame Tussauds for 12 months; plus Calumet photographic accessories.
Winning and shortlisted images will be printed, mounted and displayed at the Focus on Imaging show at the NEC Birmingham 3rd-6th March 2013, when the winners will be announced. There will also be a later public exhibition at Calumet Photographic in central London.
Visit www.mobilitychoice.org for terms and conditions and entry details – and get in the frame to win.
On the Move is supported by Calumet, Merlin Entertainments and Mary Walker Exhibitions.
